Capacity-Building and Systems Development in Support to a Sindh Multi-Sectoral Nutrition Policy, Strategy and Implementation Framework (2017-2023) |
The overall objective of the Project is to sustainably improve the nutritional status of children under five (U5) and of Pregnant and Lactating Women (PLW) in Sindh in line with the second target indicator of the SDG Goal No2. The specific objective of the contract is to build-up the capacity of the Government of Sindh (GoS) and other stakeholders regarding nutrition-related policy/strategy development, coordination, implementation, adaptive research, data collection/analysis and communication. |
| Technical Support to the National Social Protection Policy of the Gambia (2020-2023) |
This technical assistance to the National Social Protection Secretariat aims to facilitate coordination, build capacity, strengthen systems and generate evidence in the social protection sector, with a view to expanding universal life-course social protection from 2020. The activities aim to provide advice and expertise in the social protection sector on (i) institutional development and coordination (ii) institutional strengthening and capacity building (iii) planning, budgeting and financing; building capacity at central and local levels, and (iii) support for service management and the monitoring of progress against performance indicators and the formulation of policy advisory recommendations and substantial inputs for sector policy dialogue, communication and visibility. |
| Consultant for the evaluation of the Population and Health Support Project (PAPS) activities regarding the schooling of young girls component (2022-2023) |
The objective of this evaluation is to measure the progress made towards achieving the expected results of the girls' schooling component of the adaptive social safety nets project. It also provides the necessary elements to highlight the contribution of the SCOFI component in strengthening the resilience of beneficiary households and to formulate strategic and practical recommendations based on the lessons learned, which can be shared with all stakeholders, including funding agencies and target beneficiaries, with a view to defining the measures needed for a possible second phase of this component and for enhanced coordination of high-impact actions by funding agencies. This evaluation concerns the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency and sustainability of the SCOFI component's activities. |
| Preparation of the Improving Nursing Quality and Capacity Project (2021-2023) |
The objective of this ADB-funded Transaction Technical Assistance (TRTA) is to support the project preparation to improve the quality and supply of nurses in Turkmenistan through improvements in the quality of nursing education and training, modernizing nursing education and strengthening the management of human resources for health. The firm also assists in the construction and modernization of the new nursing school as well as with the development of a strategic document for ADB’s engagement in the health sector reform. This assistance is thus aimed at enabling the assessment of the technical and financial feasibility of the Improving Nursing Quality and Capacity Project, designed by the ADB in collaboration with the Turkmen Ministry of Health and Medical Industry (MoHMI). |

The objective is to contribute to raising awareness and informing people about the EU's actions in the context of the covid-19 pandemic and in the spirit of Team Europe (EU response to the pandemic, focusing on the most vulnerable people in countries where the health sector is in difficulty). Mobilisation of a national and international communication expert to work on communication activities for 18 months. Development of a communication and visibility plan and implementation thereof: - design, production and dissemination of materials, - design and organisation of communication activities in the eight regions of Niger. |
| Support for the development of the national non-contributory social protection strategy (2021-2022) |
From November 2021 to September 2022, Conseil Santé supported the Ministry of Social Affairs and Humanitarian Action in the development of the national strategy for non-contributory social protection. This technical assistance, implemented by 3 experts on the field, consisted initially in carrying out a diagnostic of all existing systems and mechanisms for the care of poor and vulnerable populations. This led to the development of two strategic action scenarios for non-contributory social protection. |
| Strengthening the integrated early warning system and disaster preparedness (2020-2022) |
Support for the development of a comprehensive approach to a multi-hazard early warning system (EWS) including environmental as well as epidemic risks. Support to pilot an appropriate pandemic surveillance system as part of the early warning system for pandemic response in Mongolia in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. Preparation of an EWS design that is suitable for Asian Development Bank financing by identifying the most appropriate project components and providing innovative ideas, concepts, management approaches and technology including pilot testing to enhance project impacts. |
| Ex-post evaluation of the Programmes of Support for Basic Social Sectors (PASSOBA) in education and health (2020-2021) |
The main objective of the Programmes of Support for Basic Social Sectors was to improve access to health and education services for vulnerable populations in nine regions of Madagascar. The evaluation used the five Development Assistance Committee (DAC) criteria (relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, sustainability and impact), the two specific EU criteria (EU added value and coherence with the EU strategy and with other Member States' actions) and took the cross-cutting themes into account (gender, the environment and the rights-based approach). An overall and independent analysis of the performance achieved during the implementation of the programmes has been carried out, in order to provide points for reflection for EU cooperation programming. |
